Loma Vista nursery steps up green efforts

It’s ironic: until recently, a business that produces more than 450 varieties of plants, shrubs and ornamental trees wasn’t considered a very “green” company.

“Our industry as a whole hasn’t been so ‘green’ friendly,” Mark Clear, owner of Loma Vista Nursery, 1107 E. 23rd St., said. During the growing season, the  310-acre facility is host to a plethera of plants.
