Local real estate expert: 'We've hit a little bump ... but we're going to get by'

 It’s the misconception of how much money is required for a down payment on a house and lack of widespread knowledge about a tax credit for first-time home buyers.

 It’s a lack of consumer confidence and fear that have contributed to the slowing of the real estate market, local real estate experts said. However, despite the downturn in the economy, this is a buyer’s market and a turnaround eventually will come, they said.
