By The Herald Staff

LA CYGNE — Central Heights head coach Mike Swendson was pleased with the game Friday night.

Central Heights defeated Prairie View, 26-8.

“It all finally came together and gelled,” Swendson said. “They got out there and did the things we worked on all week. I was really pleased with the effort.”

The Vikings were led by Dalton Schwab with 269 yards rushing and three touchdowns.

Swendson also was pleased with the effort of the defense.

“I was happy with how it went and the execution of the line,” he said. “The defense stepped up, and there were some other kids that stepped up. I even had some freshmen step up.”

The Vikings will play Friday at home against Osawatomie.

“We just have to work hard,” Swendson said. “They’re good and it’s going to take a lot of hard work to prepare for that game. They’ll all have to step up for next week.”
