Crescent Club of Wellsville met for the first time this fall Sept. 16 at the home of Donna Romstedt. Ellen Neis, vice president, called the meeting to order with the reading of the thought of day from Mary Bly— “Dogs come when they’re called; cat’s rake a message and get back to you.”
The lesson was by Janet Broers on the history and facts about Wellsville. She showed slides of historic homes built in Wellsville.
Some were for doctors and some were apartments. Others were taken down to put up businesses. A lot of the original houses are still occupied.
Roll call was answered by 13 members with what was your favorite pet.
Refreshments were served by the hostess.
The next meeting will be Oct. 21 at Norma Boone’s home at Gardner.
Reported by Betty Edwards.
