A “career day” for West Franklin

Fifteen West Franklin FBLA members recently spent a day on the Emporia State University campus for the ESU Business Career Day. The West Franklin students joined more than 450 Kansas high school students for workshops that provided information on careers in accounting, management, marketing, business administration, finance, international business, information systems and teaching business education. A panel of ESU business students gave information on college life and a presentation on dressing for success. The WFHS group included: (front row from left) Josh Ferris, Jessica Brittingham, Kayla Hendershot, Erica Simmons, Leah Kennedy, Mandy Prochnow, Cheyenne Miller and Sarah Arnold; (middle) Eliana Williamson, Casey Gillmore, Brandon Sweatman, Kelsey Sullivan and Paul Williamson; (top) Dawn Cummings and Steven Lemons. The West Franklin group was accompanied by Cheryl Thomas.
