Commissioners approve closing road near Rantoul

A small stretch of what’s known as a minimum-maintenance road near Rantoul is no longer road.

Franklin County commissioners Wednesday voted to drop the 4300 through 4325 blocks of Ellis Road from county rolls. A minimum-maintenance road is one that gets little attention from county road crews.
