Rumford falls twice at state tourney

Ottawa High School senior Kaylyn Rumford lost both of her matches in the 4A State Tennis Tournament in Emporia.
Rumford opened the tournament Friday with a 6-1, 6-1 loss to Wellington’s Savannah Cornejo. The tournament was delayed because of wet weather to Sunday where Rumford fell 9-2 to Jessica Van Ranken.
