Scott Braden, Ottawa, with Signs by Scott, mixes paint Monday as he completes an art project on an electrical box located on the south side of the Franklin County Courthouse, 301 S. Main St., Ottawa. Braden was commissioned by Jane Creighton of Pomona to paint four images of what early residents of the area might have looked like in 1865, based on period clothing. The four paintings encompass the four sides of the box and include a cowboy or rancher, a farm wife, a banker or newspaper publisher, and a city wife holding a parasol.
