Lady Braves VB notches 20th victory

ATCHISON — The Ottawa University volleyball team claimed its 20th win of the season Tuesday with a 3-1 victory over Benedictine in Atchison.
The 25-21, 25-20, 23-25, 26-24 victory was the 150th career win for Ottawa coach Tom Symons. The Lady Braves have not had 20 wins in a season since 2001 when they won the conference title and had an overall record of 20-14. Ottawa leads the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference at 12-0.

Taylor Bridge paced Ottawa with 15 kills. Nicole Gingery and Kristen Hendrickson had 12 kills apiece. Chrissie Jeannin compiled 38 assists. Katie Jensen had 13 digs.
Ottawa (20-5, 12-0) plays 7 p.m. Friday in Wichita against Friends.
