Sen. Brownback visits Ottawa

By The Herald Staff

U.S. Sen. Sam Brownback, R-Parker, and his daughter, Jenna, stopped by Ottawa today for lunch at the annual Soroptimist stew lunch and dinner, the organization's main fundraiser for the year.

Brownback, who is running for Kansas governor, said he decided to visit Ottawa, unexpectedly, after a vote was canceled today.

Brownback also toured the American Eagle Outfitters Distribution Center, 1301 N. Davis Ave.,  and Cargotec, formerly called Kalmar, 415 E. Dundee St.

A photo of Brownback's visit will be published in the Tuesday edition of The Ottawa Herald.
