Today in history

• Ottawa has something of a problem on the handling of traffic at the intersection of 15th and Main, which is at the north edge of the South Main business district.

Last night at the meeting of the city commissioners, A.J. Basile and Harold Bastin, engineers of the State Highway Commission, submitted a report on a survey made at the intersection.

The report stated that there is not sufficient traffic at the intersection to justify recommendation for a fixed cycle traffic signal.
