Burglary / Theft / Damage to Property (Auto)

800 Block East 7th, 0836 hours, a man reported that his vehicle had been broken into and items taken overnight.

200 Block west 19th, 0856 hours, a 21-year-old Ottawa Kansas female reported that her vehicle had been broken into with window broken and personal items taken.

700 Block South Poplar, 0919 hours, a man reported that his vehicle had been broken into and electronic items taken.

800 Block South Poplar, 0659 hours, a 20-year-old Ottawa Kansas female reported the damage and burglary of her vehicle overnight. Numerous electronic items were taken.

Damage to Property

300 block North Locust, 0922 hours, a  31-year old Winfield Kansas male reported a broken window on construction equipment owned by a BRB contractors overnight.

Theft

800 block South Tremont, 1158 hours, a  27-year-old Ottawa Kansas female reported the theft of a kids bicycle taken sometime overnight.

300 N. Main, 1550 hrs, The 23-year-old female attendant from Ottawa reported that an unknown suspect stole fuel. 

Theft (Shoplifting)

2212 South Princeton (Dollar General), 1532 hours, a Stella Tate 43-year-old Ottawa Kansas female reported that a Ms Kassandra Fletcher 24-year-old Ottawa Kansasfemale had removed several items from the store without paying.

Domestic Battery

1301 North Davis, 1031 hours, a   18-year-old Melvern Kansas female reported that she battered  by her boyfriend while at work. Investigation continues.

Battery

1st and Main, 1510 hours, a 17-year-Ottawa male reported that he was battered by a known associate while he was stopped in traffic. Investigation continues.

Aggravated Battery

100 S. Main, 2345 hrs, The victim  a 24-year-old Ottawa male reported that he had been injured during an altercation.

 

Domestic Battery

100 S. Maple, 2100 hrs, The victim a 31-year-old Ottawa female reported being battered.  The suspect a 28-year-old Ottawa male was later arrested for domestic battery.

 Auto Accident (Property)

100 Block South Princeton, 1453 hours, a vehicle driven by a Joel Young 17-year-old Ottawa male was driving northbound on Princeton when he changed lanes striking another vehicle driven by a John Sparks III 39-year-old Ottawa Kansas male.

1000 block North Mulberry, 1007 Hours, a vehicle driven by a Skylor Berry 15-year-old Ottawa Kansas female struck the back of a parked school bus owned by D&H Inc.

Auto Accident (Injury)

23rd and Eisenhower, 1700 Hours, a Max Ribeau 71-year-old Pomona Kansas male pulled out from the stop sign on 23rd and was struck by a Semi loaded with asphalt driven by a Ronald Hill 47-year-old Topeka Kansas male. Mr. Ribeau was transported by FRCO EMS to overland Park Regional Hospital with unspecified injuries.

Burglary / Theft

800 Block South Mulberry, 0752 hours, a Rodney Bass 27-year-old Ottawa Kansas male reported that his vehicle had been broken into and electronic items taken sometime since Friday night and today.

 

Warrant Arrest (x3)

100 block South Elm, 0901 hours, a Jonathan Wilson 38-year-old Ottawa Kansas male was arrested for three failure to appear warrants from multiple counties.

59 and Sandcreek, 2150 hrs, The suspect Nathan Clark a 24-year-old Emporia KS male was arrested on a Lyon County warrant. 

305 S. Main, 0236 hrs, The suspect Timothy Smith a 19-year-old Pomona KS male was arrested on a City of Ottawa warrant. 

Auto Theft / Damage to Property

800 Block East 7th, 1849 hours, a 25-year-old Ottawa Male reported that a known acquaintance had taken his vehicle overnight without permission and damaged it. Officer Thomas

 

Theft (shoplifting)/ Unlawful possession Of Narcotics

2101 South Princeton (Wal-Mart), 1725 hours, a  18-year-old Ottawa Kansas female reported the theft by and apprehension of a Shane Kloog 23-year-old Ottawa male for shoplifting several items from the store. After Mr. Kloog’s arrest he was found to be in possession of Narcotics.

 

Damage to Property

900 Block North Main, 1504 hours, a 30-year-old Kansas male reported the damage to a window of a Backhoe as it was parked at a residence overnight.

500 Block North Hickory, 1529 hours, a 68-year-old Kansas Ottawa Male reported the damage to a rental property Glass door overnight.

 

Battery / Obstruction of Legal Process / Damage to Property

900 Block South Cedar 1548 hours, a 55-yaer-old Ottawa Kansas male reported that he had been battered by a Scott Brown 47-year-old Ottawa Kansas male during an argument and a railing had been broke. Mr. Brown obstructed officers upon arrest.

 

Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol

700 S. Main, 0131 hrs, The suspect  a 19-year-old Holton Tx male was arrested for D.U.I., obstruction of the legal process and underage consumption of alcohol. 

Open Container

700 S. Main, 0131 hrs, The suspect Collin Krug a 20-year-old Olathe KS male was arrested for underage consumption of alcohol.

Jonathan Wilson, 38, Ottawa, was arrested and served with a Franklin County warrant for failure to appear.  Bond set at $10,000 C/S.  Wilson was also served with a Douglas County warrant for a PFA violation with a $2,000 cash bond.

DUI Check Lane.  Sand Creek and US 59 Hwy.  Chelsie Nicholson of Wichita was arrested for possession of marijuana.  Joshua Macy of Wichita was arrested for possession of marijuana, Transporting open container and Minor in consumption, Kyle Nutter of Wichita was arrested for Possession of Marijuana.  Joseph Murdick, Chad Castleberry both of Wichita were arrested for Transporting Open containers and Minor in Consumption.
