‘Exchange City’ returns Wednesday

By The Herald Staff

Elementary students from four local schools will be learning life skills Wednesday as they interview for jobs during the Exchange City Job Fair.

Volunteers from local businesses will interview students from noon to 3 p.m. in the Garfield Elementary School gymnasium, 1213 S. College St.

Students will interview for jobs ranging from city administration, a radio station, newspaper, investment services and health to working in a cafe and many others.

Garfield, Eugene Field, Eisenhower and Lincoln elementary school students will attend the event.

Following the job fair, students will prepare for the Exchange City, which takes place Nov. 19 in Kansas City. Students will spend a day simulating what it is like to be in the work force.
