A glimpse of college life

Ottawa University freshmen Cody Larson, center, and Tyler Christianson show Ottawa Middle School seventh graders Brandon Nanninga, left, and Sam White, not pictured, around the Ottawa University book store Friday afternoon during a tour of campus. Nanninga and White are part of Ottawa Middle School’s Advance Via Individual Determination, or A.V.I.D., program at the middle school. For more than 20 OMS students, the tour included stops at the book store, residence hall rooms and classrooms. “We are trying to show them what college life is like,” Larson said.
