GEORGE ‘WALT’ HUTCHISON

George “Walt” Hutchison, 79, died Thursday, Nov. 5, 2009, at his home in Quenemo. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Oak Hill Cemetery, Quenemo.

He was born Dec. 5, 1929, in Pampa, Texas, to James and Merton Condit Hutchison.

He moved to Quenemo from Ottawa. He worked at Fogle Quarries, Ottawa.

He served in the U.S. Army.

He married Mary Jo Rose June 5, 1955, in Quenemo. She survives of the home.

Other survivors include children, Cheryl Lynn Alley, Jimmy Wayne Hutchison, Michael Eugene Hutchison, Debra Mae Hutchison and Darren Lee Hutchison, all of Quenemo, and Linda Jo Lynn Wendt, Melvern; a sister, Evelyn Foushee, Ottawa; brothers, Homer Hutchison, Mt. Vernon, Ohio, and Lester Hutchison, Princeton; 13 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by grandchildren, Codi Renee Soper and Garrison Ford Hutchison.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Walt Hutchison Memorial Fund and sent in care of Feltner Funeral Home, 818 Topeka Ave., Lyndon KS 66451.
