Analysis: Results show Kansas red, not purple

TOPEKA — Gov. Kathleen Sebelius and fellow Democrats have been fond in recent years of arguing that if Kansas hasn’t turned from Republican red to Democratic blue in its politics, it’s at least becoming purple.

But election results this year undercut that claim.
