Ottawa men runners finish sixth in KCAC meet

WICHITA — The Ottawa University men’s cross-country team finished sixth and the women were eighth Saturday in the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference meet at Lake Afton in Wichita.

The men finished with 151 points, while the women had 213.

The Braves were paced by sophomore Jacob McMillian in 21st. Sophomore Brandon Garcia was 27th. Junior Caj Kueffer was 30th.

The women were led by senior Emily McAfoos in 26th. Senior Hillary Bruce finished 29th.

26, McAfoos, 20:57; 29, Bruce, 21:05; 56, Hansen, 24:23; 59, Medina 30:06; 60, Powell, 30:14.

Men

21, McMillan, 27:41; 27, Garcia, 28:11; 30, Kueffer, 28:29; 34, Smith, 29:05; 40, Husted, 29:24; 50, Straub, 31:09; 57, Bruce, 33:12.
