WILLETTA SIEVERS

Willetta Sievers, 87, of Ottawa, passed away Monday, Nov. 9, 2009, at Ransom Memorial Hospital. She was born Jan. 18, 1922, in Saline County, Mo., the daughter of Audrey (Plattner) and Willard Fenner.

Willetta married Eugene (Pat) Sievers July 11, 1946, in Marshall, Mo. He preceded her in death in 1986. Willetta was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Ottawa, the Dorcas Circle, the Inter Se Group and enjoyed playing bridge.

Survivors include her daughters, Patricia Seager and husband, Dennis, of Olathe, Kan., and Jean Rose and husband, Tim, of Overland Park, Kan.; five grandchildren, Ryan Seager and wife, Erin, of Overland Park, Kan., Cari Koster and husband, Stan, of Singapore, Scott Seager and wife, Kristen, of Lawrence, Kan., Sarah Rose and Cassandra Rose, both of Overland Park, Kan.; eight great-grandchildren, Kyle, Alexander and Jacob Seager, Overland Park, Kan., David, Kourtney and Gabriel Koster, Singapore, Phoebe and Griffin Seager, of Lawrence, Kan.; two sisters-in-law, Ferol Houston, of Malta Bend, Mo., and Bertha Sievers-Traficanti, of Nixa, Mo.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and her sister, Florence Vivian Frain, of Marshall, Mo.

The family would like to thank Dr. Scott Corder, the Village Plaza, the Village Manor and the nursing staff of Ransom Memorial Hospital for the loving care and support received.

A private memorial service and burial in the Malta Bend, Mo., Cemetery will be at a later date.
