Accident leaves rural Richmond woman dead

An accident early Friday evening near the Anderson-Franklin county line left one woman dead and two men injured.

A vehicle driven by John Auten, 54, Kansas City, Kan., was northbound at about 6 p.m. Friday on Meade Road in Anderson County when it entered into the intersection of Allen Road and was struck by a westbound vehicle driven by Larry Wicks, 56, rural Richmond, according to a report from the Kansas Highway Patrol.
