Ford selects local builder for new dealership

Loyd Builders will construct the new Advantage Ford dealership near I-35 in Ottawa.

Advantage Ford, 402 N. Main St., Ottawa, plans to build a 26,645-square-foot dealership and service center next year on 3.9 acres of land southeast of the intersection of East 23rd and South Oak streets in a commercial district on Ottawa’s south side.

Advantage Ford, 402 N. Main St., Ottawa, plans to build a 26,645-square-foot dealership and service center next year on 3.9 acres of land southeast of the intersection of East 23rd and South Oak streets in a commercial district on Ottawa’s south side.

Advantage Ford/ADQ Capital LLC, which acquired the Ottawa dealership 18 months ago, announced Monday that Ottawa-based Loyd Builders would serve as the contractor for the project.

Ford officials have said they would like to open the new dealership in fall 2013.

“Josh Walker of Loyd builders has worked tirelessly to win this contract, and we enter into this relationship excited about the prospects of opening the new store in the fall of next year,” C. Wayne Pyrant chief executive officer of Advantage Ford, said in a news release.
