LINTNER: Time for returning thanks

By AUDREY LINTNER, Blooming Dells

I’ve been looking over some of my past columns (Larry’s saved every single one in a few scrapbooks), and I realized I’ve never actually done a Thanksgiving column. Quite a few in that general time frame, but none specifically about Thanksgiving. With that in mind, I thought I’d list the garden-type things for which I’m thankful.

1. I’m thankful we have a yard. I’ve lived in apartments and other such “not really mine” kinds of places, and I’ve always been bummed about the fact that what green space there was belonged to someone else. No digging or planting. Then again, no lawn mowing, so I guess it’s a trade-off.
