County reports first death from swine flu

By The Herald Staff

Franklin County has reported its first death of a resident infected with H1N1 — commonly called swine flu.

The individual had underlying health conditions, according to a news release from the Franklin County Health Department.

The department’s allocation of vaccine is increasing and now is available to people younger than 64. For more information, call (785) 229-3535.
