DOROTHY M. THEISEN

Dorothy M. Theisen, 77, Ottawa, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2009, at the Ottawa Retirement Village. She was born Oct. 29, 1932, in Kansas City, Mo., the daughter of Vina Opal (Hutchins) and William Byrul Trammell.

Dorothy married Clyde F. Altstadt. He preceded her in death. She married her second husband, LeRoy James Theisen. He preceded her in death in October of 1998.

Dorothy worked as a door greeter at Wal-Mart in West Memphis, Ar. for eight years, retiring in 2006. She never knew a stranger, which is what made her job there so enjoyable. Prior to working at Wal-Mart, she worked as security at a casino. Dorothy loved crafts, making bird cages and taking care of Yorkie dogs.

Survivors include her daughters, Rita Eagleburger and her husband, Larry, Ottawa; Kim Jackson and her husband, David, Iuka, Il.; Carol Duvall and her husband, David, Council Bluffs, Ia., Terrie Ramsey and her husband, Tony, Atlanta, Ga.; and Betty VanAllen and her husband, Terry, of Lebanon; son JR Altstadt, Council Bluffs, Ia.; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, a son, Robert Altstadt, a daughter, Linda Eagleburger, and a sister, Betty Martin.

Funeral Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 27, 2009, at the First Assembly of God Church, Ottawa. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time. Inurnment will be at a later date in the Crittenden Memorial Park Cemetery, Marion, Ar.
