A burn ban has been issued for Franklin County for Wednesday.

All open burning is restricted in the county. Burning of trash is

permitted in barrels but a screen must be placed on top of the barrel to

prevent embers from escaping.

Fire danger has increased because of dry and windy conditions leading state officials to issue a red flag fire warning for the rest of the day.
