Cortney Kinyon, an English teacher at Central Heights High School, said her son bravely faced Santa Claus this year in order to obtain a candy cane. Last year, her son was so scared of Santa she couldn’t get a decent photo of him with the man in the red suit.

RICHMOND — Santa Claus can be a little scary when you’re just a year old.

But when you reach the brave age of 2, nothing can keep you away from candy. Not even that scary ol’ Santa.
