Open houses set for K-68 expansion

Transportation officials are planning two public open houses for residents to learn more about a K-68 expansion project set for Miami County, as well as to give their feedback.

A $10-millon portion of the project is to be funded through T-WORKS, Kansas’ 10-year, $8-billion transportation program. That funding, however, is not enough to complete the entire expansion — eight miles of the roadway from U.S. 169 on the west to U.S. 69 on the east — so only T-WORKS funded improvements will be built.
