School board OKs contract, pay for new superintendent

Jeanne Stroh officially became the Ottawa school district’s new superintendent Monday night.

The school board voted 7-0 to ratify a two-year contract with Stroh, which begins July 1 and expires June 30, 2015. Stroh already had signed off on the contract, which calls for her to receive an annual salary of $130,000 for the 2013-2014 school year, with the possibility of an unspecified salary increase in the second year.
