Ottawa Library braces for spike in health costs

The rising cost of health care benefits was one of the driving factors behind the Ottawa Library’s proposed 2-percent budget increase for 2014, Terry Chartier, library director, said.

“We were successful in having our health insurance premium increase reevaluated in 2013, but we expect a substantial increase for 2014,” Chartier said.
