Lane closures to clog I-35 until fall

Commuters and other motorists heading to and from Kansas City this summer should expect delays.

The Kansas Department of Transportation announced Wednesday road work that is set to disrupt I-35 traffic from Monday through mid-September. The right lanes of northbound and southbound I-35 at Homestead Lane in Johnson County — the site of the new divergent diamond interchange servicing the Kansas City Logistics Park intermodal rail hub — are expected to be closed 24/7 for ramp tie-in work through early fall, KDOT said.
