Methodist church pouring ‘First Cup’

The newly renovated room at First United Methodist Church, 203 E. 4th St., Ottawa, sits Thursday afternoon. The church is playing host to its “First Cup: A Together Space” event from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Tuesday, and will be providing the community with free coffee and donuts for the devotion hour. Church members wanted to develop a space that was welcoming, Terie Kelley, chair of the evangelism committee at First United Methodist Church, 203 E. Fourth St., Ottawa, said.

The group recently put the finishing touches on a new space at the church where people can sit and enjoy a cup of coffee.
