Outside prosecutor tapped for KBI probe into sheriff's office

By DOUG CARDER, Herald Staff Writer

The Shawnee County District Attorney’s Office is expected to serve as special prosecutor in a Kansas Bureau of Investigation probe of the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office.

Stephen A. Hunting, Franklin County attorney, said Friday he made the request to have the Shawnee County District Attorney’s Office handle the case.
