City honors workers’ service

The City of Ottawa honored 18 of its employees who have a combined 370 years of service to Kansas communities during the city commission meeting Wednesday morning at City Hall, 101 S. Hickory St.

Each year, the League of Kansas Municipalities recognizes “faithful, continuous service” to Kansas communities. Some of the Ottawa employees who were recognized have spent their entire municipal careers with the City of Ottawa, while a few had logged years of service with other Kansas communities before coming to Ottawa. As part of the league’s recognition, the following City of Ottawa employees were honored Wednesday for their service:
