Flags lowered for President Kennedy

TOPEKA — Kansas Gov. Sam Brownback today ordered flags lowered until sundown in recognition of a national day of remembrance for President John F. Kennedy.

Kennedy was assassinated 50 years ago — Nov. 22, 1963 — by a sniper during an appearance in Dallas.
