Short Stop, a convenience store in south Ottawa, will soon reopen under new owners, a Haag Oil Company representative said Friday morning.

The store, 1621 S. Main Street, Ottawa, closed to allow Leizler Oil, the former owners, and Haag Oil, the new owners, to switch out equipment and take inventory on Friday, Gary Haag, vice president of Haag Oil, said.

“You have to get all your ducks in a row,” Haag said. “The big thing is they use a different point-of-sale device. They are taking all their equipment out that communicates with the gas pumps. We have to get our stuff back in there to communicate with the gas pumps. Hopefully, we can get it done and get back to business as usual. Hopefully, we will be back up in just a few hours.”
