Community members next week can catch up on Onward Ottawa’s Downtown River Plaza project.
The presentation — which is sponsored by Leadership Franklin County, Ottawa Area Chamber of Commerce, Franklin County Development Council and City of Ottawa — is set for 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. April 19 at the Neosho County Community College auditorium, 900 E. Logan St., Ottawa, according to a news release.
The vision of the Onward Ottawa campaign leadership is to develop a pavilion and park venue between First and Second streets, facing Walnut Street, the release said. John Coen, chamber president/CEO, and Doug Kinsinger, Opportunity Funding, will lead the discussion.
“The presentation will include the process Onward Ottawa has used to help develop consensus for a desired initiative to improve our community,” Coen said. “We also will provide an overview of the multi-phased master plan and capital campaign plans to fund this public/private sector partnership.”
The event is the final of three community presentations that Leadership Franklin County will provide during the 2017-18 year.
