Ottawa city crews assisted Franklin County Emergency Management in containing a chemical spill Wednesday afternoon on Main Street, which was limited to one lane while crews were on site.

Around noon Wednesday, a herbicide was spilled from a punctured tank of a vehicle onto the northbound lane of Main Street from First Street to Third Street and on First Street, from Main Street to Hickory Street, according to a city news release.
