Tuesday, June 12, 2018, Sigma Chapter Alpha Delta Kappa met June 12 at Globe Art Glass for a presentation on making stained glass by owner David Anderson. He has made pieces presently hanging in many area public buildings and churches.

David’s son Steven Anderson demonstrated how he repairs broken pieces, as well. Following, the members went to the home of Janet Radcliffe for a taco lunch assisted by Gerry Coffman. The meeting, conducted by President Virginia Cook, was opened with prayer by Chaplin Liz Smith.

Minutes of the April meeting were approved as presented by Recording Secretary Janet Radcliffe. A thank you note was shared from State President Barb Corder for the nice job Sigma did in hosting the May 5 state meeting.

The state president’s newsletter was also shared. At the recent state meeting Sigma Chapter member Brenda Wigger was elected to fill the position of State Historian for the next term. The treasurer’s report was presented by Liz and was accepted as presented.

Others present were: Barb Engel, Diane Lang, and Brenda Wigger.

The Aug. 14 meeting will be at Guy and Mae’s at Williamsburg, with Lila Reekie hosting.

David Leitch and Tom Williams won the duplicate bridge match June 13 in Garnett. Faye Leitch and Lynda Feuerborn finished second. Charles and Peggy Carlson came in third.

The Garnett Duplicate Bridge Club plays 1 p.m. each Wednesday at the Garnett Inn in Garnett.
