The Main Street water line project finish line is near, but workers need some cooperatation with mother nature. City officials said crews worked parts of nine days during February.
Forecasted snow and cold will likely not have work continuing until the middle of next week, officials said.
As the project nears completion, workers will be in many locations completing tasks such as, curbing, sidewalk panels, crosswalk remediation and some restoration of the corners.
While no road closures are anticipated in the near term, lane narrowing will continue to occur in the work zones to ensure worker and public safety, please be observant and cautious.
Once temperatures moderate and the asphalt plant can operate, as conditions allow, asphalt remediation and striping will occur. At that time, there will be some short-term closures of intersections to complete this final step.
