According to a news release by the Ottawa Community Arts Council, Carnegie Cultural Center gallery director Randy Endicott has been relieved of his duties.
Endicott, was taken into custody by Ottawa police officers on April 6 at the Carnegie Cultural Center on charges of aggravated sodomy, according to a police department report.
The now former gallery director appeared in court Monday with his attorney to ask for a reduction in bail. Endicott’s attorney asked for bail to be reduced from $75,000 to $50,000 with the promise that he would not have any contact with his alleged victim.
Judge Shannon D. Rush declined the request stating because Endicott has been charged with a level one offense and because of the nature of the offense, the court has concerns for public safety. The bond remains at $75,000.
His next appearance was set for May 6.
Endicott had been the gallery director since December 2014.
