The Franklin County commissioners approved $3,600 Wednesday to co-sponsor 10 events or organizations from the transient guest tax fund.

The organizations filled out an application with the Franklin County Tourism committee. Susan Rader, tourism coordinator, brought the recommendations in front of the commissioners. The awards were from $100 to $700.

Derek Brown, county administrator/counselor, told the commissioners the amount budgeted for 2019 was $5,000.

The events and organizations receiving co-sponsorships were:

• Richmond Free Fair, July 11-13, $400.

• Chautauqua Festival, July 4, $700.

• Wellsville Historical Society, $700.

• Power of the Past, Sept. 13-15, $300.

• Ottawa Veteran’s Day, Nov. 8-10, $300.

• Fourth of July Horseshoe Tournament, July 4, $400.

• Sunflower Piecemakers Quilt Show, Sept. 14, $300.

• Ol’ Mary’s Chili Cook Off, Oct. 5, $100.

• Memory Lane Light Display, Nov. 28-Dec. 24, $100.

• Richmond Community Museum, $300.
