Leona Morgan, 77, of Pomona, passed away Thursday, June 20, 2019, at Richmond Healthcare.

Leona was born Jan. 7, 1942, in Anderson County, Kansas, the daughter of Frank Samuel Edward and Beatrice Anna (Roberts) Sulouff. She was raised in Harris, Kansas, moving to Ottawa and later Pomona. She graduated from Garnett High School with the class of 1960.

Survivors include her spouse of 35 years, Lawton Ray Boyer; three children, Debbie Monday, of Ottawa; Doug Morgan and wife, Linda, of Pomona; and Mary Ann Gooding and husband, Mark, of Garnett; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Leona was employed as a supervisor with H.D. Lee in the 1980s and Gear For Sports, of Lenexa, also as a supervisor, for several years.

She was a devoted homemaker who enjoyed canning, working on the farm, making dolls and quilting. Leona also liked to hunt, fish, work in her flower and vegetable gardens, feed and watch the birds, and go mushroom hunting.
