Margie Ann (Fox) Rodgers, 69, of Eudora, Kansas, and formerly of Ottawa, Kansas, passed away Friday, Dec. 27, 2019, at the Olathe Medical Center, Olathe, Kansas.
To celebrate Margie’s life, a memorial service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 4, 2020, at the Lamb-Roberts Funeral Home, 325 S. Hickory, Ottawa, KS 66067. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the Margie Rodgers Memorial Fund and sent in care of the Lamb-Roberts Funeral Home, P.O. Box 14, Ottawa, KS 66067. She was born April 10, 1950, in Ottawa, Kansas, the daughter of James W. Fox and Dorothy (Ogle) Fox. She grew up and attended schools in Ottawa, Kansas.
Margie was united in marriage to William Rodgers on Aug. 2, 1965, in Ottawa, Kansas.
Margie was a homemaker and enjoyed crafting floral arrangements. She later worked as an Assembler for Trade Net in Baldwin City, Kansas; Kingston in Eudora, Kansas, and retired in 2010 at Huhtamaki in De Soto, Kansas.
Margie will be remembered for her love of playing games, fishing, cooking and crafting.
Mrs. Rodgers was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, James W. Fox Jr.
She is survived by her husband, William Rodgers of Eudora, Kansas; two sons, Bill Rodgers and wife, Laverna, of Eudora, Kansas; Tim Rodgers and wife, Shelly, of Eudora, Kansas; a daughter, Kelley Sheffield, of Garnett, Kansas; 11 grandchildren, Amber, Josh, Jake, Caleb, Arissa, Sophia, Makenzie, Cody, Kyle, Katelyn and Kenneth; 12 great-grandchildren; a niece, Macy Fox, of Grey, Georgia; and a nephew, Eric Fox, of Ottawa, Kansas.
