Pittsburg residents arrested with drugs during robbery

CHEROKEE COUNTY — Two Pittsburg residents were arrested Monday following an alleged burglary.

Deputies with the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched just before noon to an unoccupied home northeast of Columbus. As the deputies arrived, one suspect emerged from the house while another came out of a garage, the sheriff’s office said.

The suspects, identified as Dallas Kinnaird, 42, and Kren Kinnaird, 38, both of Pittsburg, were placed under arrest.

An investigation found evidence implicating the suspects in the burglary of another nearby property, along with possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

Both suspects were transported to the Cherokee County Jail, where they were being held in lieu of $16,000 bond.
