11:30 a.m. Tuesday, 305 S. Main Street, Ottawa, Michael William Wood Jr., 27, Rantoul arrested Franklin County Probable Cause warrant for Theft & Domestic Battery.


10:11 p.m. Monday, 3900 block of I-35, Milepost 193, Guillermo Lopez, 56, Olathe, was traveling northbound in his 2015 Mitsubishi Mirage when he struck a deer that entered the roadway. Damage estimated over $1,000.

2:09 p.m. Wednesday, 1400 I-35 Carol Kotasek, 73, Montgomery, Minn., was traveling northbound in a 2018 Chevrolet Cruze when she was struck by an unknown vehicle, causing her to lose control and enter the median. The other vehicle left the scene. Damage estimated over $1,000.


3:03 p.m. Thursday, 4000 block of Louisiana Road, Scott Barnhart, 47, Ottawa, reported that his license plate was lost.

7:03 p.m., 2600 block of Reno Road, Cass Vogeler, 41, Ottawa, reported damage to his 2012 Chevrolet Impala. Damage estimated to be greater than $1,000. Report taken.


11:22 a.m. Wednesday, 128 N Robey Avenue, Williamsburg, Sheena Hardon, 27, Olathe, reported that an unknown subject entered into her vehicle and took multiple items out of it. Loss valued at $68.

Ottawa Police Department


10:56 p.m. Thursday, 200 South Maple Street, Brenda Fredricks, 56, Williamsburg, reported being bitten by a dog. Case is under investigation.

11:18 p.m. Thursday, 1500 block of S. Hickory, a 16-year-old Ottawa male was found under the influence of alcohol after causing a disturbance. Case forwarded to the Franklin County Attorney’s Office.


12:52 p.m. Monday, 2500 East Logan, Ottawa, Herbert Bohlander, 45,Ottawa, reported a past theft.

8:50 a.m. Wednesday, 100 block of S. Oak, Jennifer Fox, 44, Ottawa, reported that known suspects entered the residence while the occupants were gone and took items. Case is under investigation.
