Arrests


• 9:21 a.m. Friday, 305 S. Main Street, Ottawa, Melinda Obermeier, Osawatomie, was arrested on a Franklin County warrant for failure to appear.


• 11:15 a.m. Friday, 305 S. Main Street, Ottawa, Gatlin James Akin, Wiggins County, was arrested on Franklin County failure to appear warrant to appear.


Accidents


• 6:56 a.m. Sunday, 4600 Indiana Road, Dane Carlson, 35, Bellville, was traveling south in his 2007 Honda Accent when he fell asleep behind the wheel and left the roadway which caused his vehicle to overturn. Dane refused medical attention. Damage estimated over $1,000.


• 9:36 p.m. Sunday, 2189 Labette Road, Dalton Weidl, 24, Ottawa, was traveling west on Labette Road in a 2005 Nissan Altima when he struck two small calves that entered the roadway. No injuries were reported. Damage reported over $1,000.


• 2 p.m. Sunday, 4100 Thomas Road, Travis West, 38, Wellsville, and his wife Rachel West, 38, Wellsville, were traveling east on Thomas Road and lost control of their 2001 GMC Yukon. The vehicle overturned into the roadway. Both of them were transported to Overland Park Regional with injuries.


• 10:19 a.m. Sunday, 3300 Vermont Road, Terrie Titus, 55, Princeton reported an accident at this location involving Kristopher Thomey, 43, Osawatomie. Thomey's vehicle struck Titus' vehicle as the both approached the intersection. Titus' vehicle was a 2017 Nissan Rouge, Thomey's vehicle is a 2013 Nissan Titan. Both vehicles were operable and driven away by the owners.


Thefts


• 1:44 p.m. Friday, 3085 Marshall Road, Devlan Reeves, 53, Ottawa, reported an unknown subject broke into a shed at this location and stole several items.


• 5:40 p.m. Friday, 107 N. State Street, Richmond, Nancy Kimball, 58, Lane, reported that an unknown white male driving a white Chevy or GMC truck bearing Kansas tag 668GWT drove away without paying for $59.80 of gasoline at the 59 Highway Service Station in Richmond.

Arrests


• 8:51 p.m. Thursday, 600 W. 14th Street, Ottawa, Kenneth Knoll, 26, Emporia, was arrested in connection with possession of a stolen vehicle, driving under the influence of drugs and driving while suspended after being called in as a suspicious person and located in a stolen vehicle.


• 6:38 p.m. Friday, 200 S. Cedar Street, Ottawa, Lauren White-Jacoby, 28, Ottawa, was arrested in connection with battering a known 30-year-old Ottawa man.


• 9:25 p.m. Friday, 300 S. Ash, Ottawa, Michael Nash, 38, Ottawa, was arrested in connection with driving under the influence and child endangerment after being contacted on a traffic stop in regards to a call for service.


• 12:23 a.m. Friday, 500 block of N. Cedar Street, Ottawa, Kassie Edwards, 33, Ottawa, was arrested in connection with disorderly conduct, pedestrian under the influence after being contacted on call for service.


• 10:17 a.m. Sunday, 108 W. Junction Avenue, (BNSF), Ottawa, Austin Putman, 26, Hartford, Conn., was arrested in connection with trespassing on BNSF railroad property.


Incidents


• 1:04 p.m. Thursday, 700 E. Garfield Street, Ottawa, a fight was reported between several subjects. Case is under investigation.


• 7:29 p.m. Friday, 715 W. 2nd Street, (Ottawa Police Department) Ottawa, Jessika Brown, 32, Ottawa, reported a possible sex offense involving a 28-year-old Ottawa woman. Case is under investigation.


• 8:07 a.m. Saturday, 1000 North Cherry Street, Ottawa, a 69-year-old Ottawa man was found dead in his residence.


• 7:31 p.m. Sunday, 800 block of N. Poplar, Ottawa, Heather Wilson, 26, Ottawa, was issued a notice to appear for harboring a vicious animal, keeping a pit bull, no proof of vaccinations, no proof of city registration, after her dog bit her and another dog.


• 10:35 p.m. Sunday, 700 block of E. Red Jacket, Ottawa, 38,Ottawa, was found in possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. Case is being forwarded to the county attorney’s office for prosecution consideration.


• 2:29 a.m. Sunday, 715 W. 2nd St (Ottawa Police Department), Ottawa, a 21-year-old Ottawa woman reported a past sex offense.


Thefts


• 10:37 a.m. Friday, 113 N. Oak Street, 1037 hours, Ann Miles, 53, Lyndon, reported someone stole property out of a storage unit. Case is under investigation.


• 8:44 a.m. Saturday, 100 W. 1st Street, Ottawa, Douglas Miles, 55, Ottawa, reported an unknown subject stole items from his vehicle.


• 3:14 p.m. Sunday, 1100 S. College Street, Ottawa, Arlene Udelhoffen, 75, Ottawa, reported an unknown subject stole money through a scam.

Wednesday: 700 block of Main St., report of abuse; 1000 block of Poplar, harassment; 4000 block of Thomas, missing juvenile; 200 block of Edgewood, fireworks violation.


Thursday: Interstate 35; assist other agency; 200 block of W. 7th, animal complaint; 800 block of Fiber Lane, assist the public; 400 block of E. 2nd, trespass complaint.


Friday: 200 block of W. 7th, animal complaint; 800 block of Fiber Lane, assist; 200 block of 2nd, trespass complaint.


Saturday: 200 block of Downey, assist; 700 block of Main, assist; K-33 and Interstate 35, other agency assist.
