GREENSBURG — The Greensburg Police Department arrested two people last week after a traffic stop led to marijuana being discovered in their vehicle.
The vehicle was stopped for speeding, 47 mph in a posted 30 mph zone.
"While speaking with the driver of the vehicle, the strong odor of marijuana could be smelled," said Greensburg Police Chief Aaron Webb. "A probable cause search of the vehicle was conducted and dispensary grade marijuana was located in the vehicle along with cannabis infused candies and drug paraphernalia."
The two people were arrested and booked into the county jail. As they were being processed, a person connected with the two suspects entered the lobby. He admitted that some of the drugs were his and that all three suspects had bought the paraphernalia at a dispensary. They all live in Missouri and were returning from a trip to California.
Names of the three individuals were not released by the police department and a Facebook post about the incident was removed because of difficulty monitoring controversial post responses.
