Sylva Ann Mignot, 82, of Wellsville, passed away Sunday, Feb. 3, 2019, at Wellsville Retirement Community.

Family will meet with friends from 6-7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2019, at Dengel & Son Mortuary. Inurnment to be later at Antioch Cemetery, Homewood, Kansas. The family suggests memorial contributions be written to Dengel & Son Mortuary (to be used for Sylva’s monument fund) or American Lung Association c/o Dengel & Son Mortuary, 235 S. Sylva was born Dec. 17, 1936, in Ottawa, the daughter of Ralph and Jennie Faye (Humbert) McCurdy. She was a near lifelong resident of Ottawa until moving to Wellsville. She graduated from Ottawa High School with the class of 1954.

Survivors include children, Mark Mignot and wife, Pam, of Wellsville; Cindy Mignot, of Greeley; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Jennie McCurdy; daughter, Beth Mignot, and brother, Dean McCurdy.

Sylva was a devoted lifelong homemaker. She was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church. Sylva enjoyed sewing, reading and loved dark chocolate.
