Troy L. Evans, 54, passed away suddenly and naturally at home on Sunday, Feb. 3, 2019, and went to be with the Lord.

A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 23, 2019, at the Community Foursquare Chapel, Ottawa, Kansas.

Troy was born July 24, 1964, in Paola, Kansas, to Lawrence and Connie Evans.

Throughout his life, Troy loved playing baseball, football, working out, fishing, was an avid bowler and enjoyed family vacations. He loved spending time with friends and especially spending time with family members. He loved the outdoors, fall and spring being his favorite seasons and enjoyed Bible study with friends and family.

Troy was known to his family and friends as kind, humble, generous, and a person with a big heart.

Troy attended Ottawa schools, worked as a grocer, insulation installer, and lumber delivery driver. Later in life, he was disabled.

Troy married Brenda Allen in 1986 (later divorced) and together they had two sons, Gabriel L. and Jeremy Q. Evans.

He was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence (Larry) Evans.

Survivors include his mother, Connie Stauffer (Gary), of Overland Park; brothers, Kevin Evans (Maribel) and Mark Evans (Shawna, Ottawa; Lance Evans (Lauren), Lenexa; sons, Gabriel and Jeremy Evans, Ottawa; six grandchildren, Aubriana, Samiyah, Averie, Athea, Mason and Ayden.

Troy loved the Lord and his family very much and was loved by the Lord and his family. He especially loved his sons and grand children, and cherished spending time with them.

Troy was a loving bother, son, grandfather, and very special family member, who will be greatly missed until our great family reunion the Lord has planned for us.
