Elmer L. Hill, 53, of Osage City, Kansas, passed away Saturday, March 16, 2019, at Newman Hospital, Emporia, Kansas.

Memorial funeral services will be 10 a.m., Tuesday April 2, 2019, at Community Foursquare Church, Ottawa. Inurnment will follow at Iola Cemetery, Iola, Kansas. Family will greet friends prior to the services at the church beginning at 9 a.m. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to C.O.F. Training Services c/o Lamb-Roberts Funeral Home, P.O. He was born August 6, 1965 in Iola, Kansas, the son of Melvin Eugene Hill and Patricia Ester (Uitts) Hill. Elmer grew up in the Iola area attending Iola High School.

Elmer was a laborer most of his working career, working for S&L Ranch, C.O.F. Training Services, and Integrated Employment Enterprises. Elmer worked recently at Thriftopia in Ottawa. While Elmer held many different jobs with C.O.F. his favorite was cleaning the cars.

He is survived by two brothers; Loren Hill, Osage City, Kansas; Roy Hill, Osage City, Kansas; a sister, Danta Hockett, Iola, Kansas; two nieces and three nephews.

Elmer is preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Tommy Hill, Cleveland Hill, and William Hill.
