Rachelle Thurston, 49, of Lyndon, Kansas, passed away 11:20 p.m. Sunday, April 28, 2019.
A Celebration of Life will be 10 a.m. Saturday, May 4, 2019, at the Michigan Valley Community Church, 6485 E. 221st Street, Quenemo, Kansas. Inurnment to be announced at a later date. Rachelle was born July 29, 1969, in Cleveland, Oklahoma, the daughter of Floyd and Chris Goddard. She was long time resident of the Osage County area and she lived in Lyndon the last two years of life.
She graduated from Prue High School in Prue Oklahoma with the class of 1987.
Rachelle was a licensed beautician, a certified nursing assistant, accomplished musician and singer. She loved to teach Sunday School and was involved in the children’s ministry at Mt Pleasant Community Church. She was also a church youth director in the state of Washington.
Rachelle was united in marriage to Tom Thurston, June 27, 2009, in Ottawa, Kansas. She is survived by her husband, Tom, of the home.
Other survivors include her parents, Floyd and Chris Goddard, of Lyndon; 10 nieces and nephews; and numerous aunts and uncles.
Rachelle enjoyed being a house wife and taking care of family and friends. She loved her puppies and found a lot of joy taking care of them. She was an avid animal lover.
She was a member of the Michigan Valley Community Church and former member of Mount Pleasant Community Church.
Rachelle loved fishing, caring for children, especially her nieces and nephews. She loved bead work and gardening.
